Alternating Air Pressure Relief

While many bed bound patients may spend most of their time in bed, when they decide to sit instead of laying down, their chair must have the same pressure relieving qualities as their bed. This cushion achieves this, using alternating air technology to maintain an even pressure throughout the body parts in contact with the chair. With six independent alternating air cells, there is a wide distribution of pressure, making this cushion suitable for patients at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers.

Cushion and Lumbar Support

Aside from providing excellent pressure relief in a standard cushion, this system incorporates a second lumbar-supporting cushion with an additional ten air cells. These cells work on the same principle as the original six, extending the reach of the system's pressure relief to the patient's back and lumbar area. With this cushion, patient's will experience superior comfort, allowing them to comfortably sit for long periods of time.

Versatile and Portable

This cushion can be used by a wide variety of users in a number of different seating environments. Featuring a maximum user weight of 159kg (25 stone), most users will be well supported by this cushion, sitting in comfort and safety. With a lightweight design weighing only 1.4kg, this cushion can be transported easily wherever it is needed.

Hygienic, Waterproof Cover

Included with this cushion is Harvest's reliable two-way stretch, vapour permeable cover. This cover is waterproof so as to protect the cushion from fluids and spills, allowing for easy cleaning, and making it suitable for many medical scenarios. Since the cushion is vapour permeable, air is allowed to flow, cooling the patient and providing a comfortable long-term seating option
