What Conditions Is the Treat-Eezi Suitable For?

The Treat-Eezi pressure relief overlay has been clinically proven to effectively aid stage 2, 3 and 4 pressure sores, and is the first non-powered overlay to be trialled for stage 3 and 4 pressure sores. As demonstrated by the NHS lead evaluation of these trials which can be found in the documentation section below, this pad is an inexpensive and simple solution to patients with a high risk of pressure sores. 

Who Can Benefit from the Treat-Eezi Full-Length Bed Sore Overlay?

The Treat-Eezi Community Bed Sore Overlay is designed specifically for patients with active pressure sores, or those at risk of developing them. Clinically proven to promote healing of stage 2, 3 and 4 pressure ulcers and featuring an extended length, it can provide relief from pressure wounds on the upper body, torso and legs.

How Comfortable Is the Treat-Eezi Full-Length Bed Sore Overlay?

To further prevent pressure build-up and friction exacerbated by moisture, the Treat-Eezi Overlay drains moisture to the bottom of the mattress, keeping users dry and comfortable. By combatting moisture, the Treat-Eezi Community Bed Sore Pad also creates a cool, temperature-regulated sleeping environment and prevents issues caused by sweating or overheating.

How Effective Is the Full Length Bed Overlay?

The Treat-Eezi pressure relief overlay has been clinically proven to effectively aid stage 2, 3 and 4 pressure sores, and is the first non-powered overlay to be trialled for stage 3 and 4 pressure sores. Additionally, this version has an extended length for full body relief.

Can I Clean the Treat-Eezi Bed Pad?

The Treat-Eezi Bed Sore Pad is easy to clean and be machine washed frequently as well as being bleached to avoid cross infection. The pad can also be placed inside a vapour permeable cover which can be easily wiped down or replaced whenever necessary. Even if a cover is used, the bed pad should regularly be taken out of the cover and washed or shaken out and left to breathe.

Can this Overlay Be Used with a Seizure Alarm?

As Treat-Eezi products do not rely on electricity, unlike traditional alternating air mattresses, they do not set off monitor alarms. They can therefore be used alongside tonic clonic seizure alarms.

Dimensions of the Bed Sore Overlay

The Bed Sore Overlay is 1.95m in length and 90cm in width which provides protection down the length of the body where further bed sore support may be required. If you'd like a smaller option, a standard length 'community' version is also available. Due to the compact size of the community version, it can also be transferred to foam chairs for use when sitting, however it does not provide every patient with the same entire body support of the full length overlay.

Please note the full length overlay is only available in a four layer version for adults, while the community is available in both a four layer version for adults and a three layer version for children.
