Invacare Polyester Amputee Sling

Transferring patients with a lifting hoist can be complicated if your patient has unique medical complications, such as if they have suffered an amputation. The Invacare Polyester Amputee Sling is designed to facilitate these transfers, and provides comfortable lifting for clients with single or double amputations. To provide optimal fit and support, the Polyester Amputee Sling has been developed in coordination with occupational and physical therapists.

Suitability of the Polyester Amputee Sling

As the name suggests, the Invacare Amputee Sling is ideal for the transportation of users that have single or double amputations, and supports the user in a comfortable, slightly reclined position. It should be noted that in order to use this product most efficiently, the patient should have good independent head control.

Materials of Invacare Slings

This sling is made with polyester: a standard material that is easy to apply. It slides smoothly and dries quickly after washing.

Which Hoists Can I Use the Sling With?

This sling is designed with loop fixings. It is designed for easy and secure attachment to all hoists with loop fixing compatibility.

Safe Working Load

The safe working load for sling sizes Extra Small to Large is 200kg. For Extra Large slings, the safe working load is 250kg. Please see the chart above for recommended user weights.

Care Instructions

Please follow these care instructions to make sure that your sling retains its level of quality:

• Suitable for machine washing up to 95°C
• Do not bleach
• Slings can be tumble-dried
