Invacare Softform Premier Visco Pressure Relief Mattress

For patients at high risk of pressure sore development, pressure relief mattresses have to provide excellent levels of weight distribution, ensuring peak pressure zones are protected. The Invacare Softform Premier Visco Pressure Relief Mattress is designed to use body temperature to conform to the shape of the body, constructed with a high density foam bottom layer and viscoelastic memory foam top layer. These areas conform to the body to maximise contact area with the patient, providing excellent pressure reduction suitable for high risk patients.

High Risk Pressure Relief

The Softform Premier Visco is designed for those considered to be at high risk of developing pressure ulcers. This mattress uses a memory foam insert that conforms to the shape of the body. It reduces the peak pressure points by redistributing the pressure and this in turn provides ultimate comfort for the client.

Multiple Layers of Foam

This mattress is made with two layers of foam: a U-shaped high density bottom layer to provide support and prevent bottoming out, and a viscoelastic memory foam core to provide comfort. The memory foam top section responds to body heat, conforming to the body to maximise body contact surface area for excellent pressure relief.

Strikethrough Resistant Cover

Strikethrough resistant cover: The single version of this mattress is supplied with a strikethrough resistant cover, preventing the breakdown of the cover that can often cause core damage. Specially coated, this cover will greatly reduce care costs and cleaning times.

Reduced Handling Time

Many pressure relief mattresses require turning or rotating, taking up valuable carer time and presenting risks for injury. This mattress requires no turning or rotating, reducing the manual handling time required by carers and ensuring a safer working environment.

Replaceable Parts

The modular construction of this mattress means that multiple parts are easy to replace, increasing the longevity of the mattress as a whole. This also reduces facility costs, as the entire mattress will not need replacement after minor damage.
